I have two cards of Aaron Akin. This one is from 1998 Topps.
Playing Career: The Marlins first round pick in 1997, Aaron Akin pitched 60 games in their minor league system before retiring due to a shoulder injury.
Where he is now: For a while he was a pitching coach at Mount Olive College. He is currently a personal trainer at Maximum Performance Physical Therapy & Fitness in Manhattan, KS.
My memories: Never heard of him until I got his baseball card.
Google Autocomplete Results: He is second when you type Aaron Ak, between Aaron Akins, a blogger and IT manager, and Aaron Akers, a plumber in Oregon whose site proclaims his company “Home of the No Crack Guarantee.” Another prominent Aaron Akin is a database administrator at Wells Fargo.
